FAQ
The essentials for getting started and staying in control of your data.
Pulse is a local-first contact graph and meetup tracker. You map the people in your life, log hangouts, and get gentle nudges to stay in touch — privately on your phone.
No. Pulse works fully offline without signing in. Create an account only if you want optional cloud sync across your devices.
On your device by default. If you sign in, contacts, relationships, meetups, and media sync to a private Supabase project with per-user access controls. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
- Contacts — import people and keep photos in sync with your phone’s address book when you choose.
- Photos — attach pictures or videos to contacts and meetups.
- Calendar — optionally add meetups to your calendar.
Use the export backup option in the app to save a JSON copy you can keep or re-import later. This is separate from optional cloud sync.
If you created a Pulse account, open Profile in the app and choose Delete account. You can remove your cloud account only, or delete cloud and local data from the device. You can also email support@vulcancollective.com from the address on the account. Signing out alone does not delete server-side data.
Check your network connection and try again. For Google sign-in, make sure you’re using the Google account you expect. If it still fails, email us with the approximate time of the error and your device model — no passwords, please.
Email support@vulcancollective.com. We read every message. You can also send product feedback from Settings while signed in.
